A New Tool for Teachers!
Posted on Tuesday, May 10 @ 00:52:54 PDT
Topic: Silent Ears, Silent Heart
Silent Ears, Silent HeartDeaf Understanding is pleased to learn that Silent Ears, Silent Heart by deaf author Blair LaCrosse and interpreter Michelle LaCrosse is currently being used in schools.

With the purpose of education in mind, the authors have prepared a workbook to be used in conjunction with Silent Ears, Silent Heart. This workbook can be used as a basis for class discussion. It has been designed in a way to not only pull out specific points from the book dealing with deafness, Deaf culture, and American Sign Language, but also to encourage students to voice their own opinions of the situations the Deaf have faced and what they feel can be done to improve these situations.
The new workbook will be a complement to any Deaf studies course or sign language class. It will also be a new tool that educators helping deaf students learn English as a second language could utilize, since the questions will aid the student in reading comprehension.

Educators interested in using the book Silent Ears, Silent Heart and its accompanying workbook in their classes, or librarians interested in purchasing Silent Ears, Silent Heart, can receive a discounted rate.

Silent Ears, Silent Heart Workbook is now available!
