The New Mexico School for the Deaf

West Tennessee School for the Deaf
The West Tennessee School for the Deaf provides a total communication environment for students with emphasis on the use of Signed English, finger spelling, speech, gestures, and pantomime. The individual communication needs of students are respected and modifications are made as necessary. The auditory needs of students are met through the schools auditory training program which is a part of the school's curriculum. Students with cochlear implants receive additional therapy to meet the unique needs of their auditory development. FM auditory trainers are provided for all students.
